Ice, games, fairies, and more! Read on for the details . . .
• Meltdown Winter Ice Festival — There is so much going on in and around the Downtown area this week, you’ll definitely want to check out as many of these exciting events as possible. Check out the ice festival website, find the Facebook page (Richmond Meltdown), and get the Richmond Meltdown app.
• Follow the Frozen Fairy Trail in Richmond’s Downtown and Depot District on Saturday, January 28 from 10am-4pm. Look for fairy themed events at participating businesses, including Veach’s! Sponsored by Wayne County Tourism/Welcome Center (5701 National Road East), the trail starts there and you can pick up a brochure for details on locations and events. Find details here or on the Facebook page (Visit Richmond – Indiana).
• Veach’s will be open late (until 7pm) on Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28 for the ice festival. Stop in at Veach’s, play a game (buy a game for your next family game night!), then walk over to Elstro Park for the main event — the meltdown throwdown (ice fights) which begin at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Food and drink will be available at Elstro Park, too. The ice festival is great family fun, something you really should check out if you haven’t yet!
• January-October store hours — Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm, Friday & Saturday 10am-5pm, Closed Sundays
